(2020) Imprópria Tribute: 2nd Cinema Cycle on GENDER EQUALITY, 25 October.
GENDER EQUALITY MEANS THAT ALL HUMAN BEINGS, WHETHER WOMEN OR MEN, BE FREE TO DEVELOP THEIR PERSONAL CAPACITIES WITHOUT THE LIMITATIONS DICTATED BY STEREOTYPES. During the annual film cycle on GENDER EQUALITY, which began in 2019, Imprópria honors two figures that have done outstanding work in the struggle for equality. During the 2020 cycle, it was a double honor to be distinguished along with Zuraida Soares, a colleague, politician and feminist I admire. It was also a great privilege to be honored after the 2019 recipient, Clarisse Canha, an activist and feminist whose friendship I cherish. Rosa Simas
