(2004) Presentation of the Anthology, Volumes I, II, III and IV, in Mainland Portugal
In 2004, the bilingual anthology Women in the Azores and the Immigrant Communities, Volumes I, II, III and IV, was presented at the Azores House in Lisbon, by Maria de Jesus Barroso, former First Lady of Portugal, mentor of the Mário Soares and Maria Barroso Foundation, and director of the Pro Dinitat Foundation. Eduíno de Jesus, President of the Azorean House, and Alzira Silva, Regional Director for the Immigrant Communities, of the Azorean Government presided. Right after, the anthology was also presented at the Azores House in Porto, by Manuela Aguiar, former Secretary of State for the Immigrant Communities, on the RTP1 TV show “Portugal no Coração”, hosted by José Carlos Malato and Merche Romero, and on TVI by the then commentator, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the current President of Portugal.
